About Us
Black Angus and other cattle graze on the rich grass in pasture land that comprises about a fifth of Chalk Mt. Ranch.

California's Rain Forest extends into Chalk Mt Tree Farm, with its native mix of Redwood and Douglas Fir. This magnificent resource is the natural range of Sequoia Sempervirens, the Coast Redwood.

Also incorporated in the annual tree planting cycle, and thriving in many diverse areas of Chalk Mt. Tree Farm, are Port Orford Cedar and Sequoia Gigantea, the giant redwood native to the western scarp of the Sierra Nevada mountains in central California. Other thriving native species include Pacific Madrone (Arbutus menziesii) as well as California Black Oak (Quercus kelloggii), an important source of food, cover and breeding for blacktail deer and a variety of other wildlife.
